The DB2 put the air-cooled Ducati 900 SS engine in a light chromoly trellis frame with full bodywork and twin under-seat exhausts. It was meant to sell in larger numbers than earlier Bimotas; testers praised its weight, handling and brakes but found the ride firm. A half-fairing version also existed.
